As India’s first fully digital census, the exercise aims to revolutionize data utilization:
Micro-Level Planning: Data dissemination is expected to be faster and available down to the village and ward levels. This unprecedented granularity will allow ministries and local governments to create highly targeted policies for infrastructure, resource allocation, and welfare scheme
Real-Time Data Access: A central Census
Management and Monitoring System (CMMS) portal and the “Census-as-a-Service” (CaaS) model will deliver clean, machine-readable, and actionable data to government stakeholders on a demand basis, significantly speeding up the conversion of raw data into concrete policy action.
